Hulu Launches Official Trailer for Season 4 of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’
Hulu has released the official trailer for season 4 of their hit show, The Handmaid’s Tale, ahead of its April 28 premiere date. The intense two-minute clip shows June fighting against Gilead as she attempts to take revenge against those who have wronged her. She continues her fight to gain freedom from Gilead’s oppressive society and reunite with her daughter Hannah.
Back in February, it was announced that the Hulu original would be back in just a few short months. A mini trailer was also released, exciting fans. In December, it was revealed that the show had also been renewed for a fifth season. Many are anxious to see if June will succeed in her mission to get justice.
The Handmaid’s Tale is based on the 1985 novel by Margaret Atwood that centers on the handmaids, or fertile women, of Gilead. Gilead was once the United States but was then destroyed and transformed under a new government. The handmaids are solely responsible for birthing children for the infertile wives of their Commanders.
In the previous season, June, played by Elisabeth Moss, gave up her chance to find refuge in Canada and reconnect with her husband, Luke. She refused to leave behind Hannah, who she had been separated from for years. The new trailer has fans on edge and eager to see what else is in store for June’s tumultuous journey.
Just watched the season 4 trailer for The Handmaid’s Tale and got so many goosebumps! I’m excited. Will June get her justice? Either way, I’m ready to cry. 🥲
