Marvel Studios Announces New Official Title for Black Panther Sequel
Marvel Studios has recently confirmed the official title for their next project from the Academy Award-winning film franchise, Black Panther. The film prepares for its second round to the big screen as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The popular phrase “Wakanda Forever” spread rapidly across the U.S. and became a trend back in 2018, making the new title perfectly fit for the sequel.
It’s safe to say fans are beyond ecstatic since Marvel Studios recently unveiled the new title for the upcoming sequel, Black Panther 2. The title derives from the well-known salute, “Wakanda Forever,” which took over social media by force in 2018 as a symbol of black solidarity.

Back in 2018, the original action-packed film also successfully snagged the title for ‘Fifth Biggest Opening Weekend’ on Box Office records pulling in $202 million in a Fri-Sun time frame. It also quickly became the highest-grossing film by a black director.
Black Panther came behind The Avengers ($207m), Jurassic World ($208m), Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($220m), and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248m).
The new plot for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever still remains a mystery. However, it has been confirmed that filmmaker, Ryan Coogler’s script will directly involve the passing of Chadwick Boseman who played T’Challa.
Additionally, Marvel Studios released a reel that included a line-up of their upcoming film projects which also included their first theatrical release in two years, Black Widow.
