Naomi Campbell Announces Arrival of First Baby

Naomi Campbell, legendary supermodel and actress welcomed her first child recently at the age of 50. Campbell has long expressed her urge to have children, but the supermodel was never stressed about time. In 2019 The wall Street Journal asked Campbell about her inkling for having children at the time, she responded with, “Not yet — I’ll see what the universe brings me.” And it looks like 2021 was exactly the year the universe had in mind.

Campbell showed her excitement by stating, “So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.” in the Instagram post announcing her child’s birth.

At the age of 50 having a baby was no easy feat but the supermodel stated in that same 2017 interview with the evening standard that science will be there for her whenever she did have a child.

The supermodel is known for her fierceness, independence and business smarts. She built an empire using her modeling career as a spring board, during a time period when she was almost always the only black woman in the room.

People are shocked that Naomi was able to hide her pregnancy so well. Many speculate that the baby was born via surrogate or is adopted, either way, Naomi has finally achieved one more of her dreams in life.

This baby news came as a shock to some, however Campbell is filled with nothing but joy.  No doubt Campbell will be a wonderful mother to her new baby girl.
