On June 9, Clinique ambassador and In the Heights star Melissa Barrera got glammed up with Clinique makeup for the Tribeca Film Festival. The 30-year-old Mexican actress looked stunning while attending the In the Heights world premiere, which started off the 12-day film festival.

Clinique tweeted multiple photos of Barrera getting ready for the premiere of In the Heights with the help of makeup artist, Talia Sparrow. Beautifully, the actress wore Lid Pop in Aqua Pop, a medium-dark teal permanent eyeshadow paired with Surf pop, a cool-toned permanent eyeshadow. Additionally, Barrera wore Moisture Surge 100H, Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation, High Impact Mascara, and Even Better Pop Lip. The blue and green eyeshadows are bold, while the rest of Barrera’s makeup is a soft glam look.

Barrera stunned on the red carpet of the exciting film premiere wearing a green Dundas World gown. According to Vogue, for a long time stylist, Penny Lovell had in mind the color green for Barrera’s dress. Lovell stated, “Melissa’s character in the film, Vanessa, considers it her power color and Melissa really wanted the look for the premiere to be inspired by that and reflect that.”

Recently, Clinique announced Barrera as their newest Global Ambassador, and the company praised her as a “role model for natural beauty.” Equally important, Barrera is the second-ever Global Ambassador for Clinique and first-ever Latina to take on the position.

If you want to support Melissa Barrera’s role in the new musical In the Heights, you can catch it in theaters or on HBO Max.
