Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters this winter, marking the supposed end of Spider-Man solo movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Zendaya, who plays Michelle Jones, talked to E!’s Daily Pop about the cast’s journey.

Since Spider-Man: No Way Home wrapped up filming in March, there has been a lot of buzz and excitement about the upcoming Marvel film. Though little about the plot is known, and many rumors surround new cast members joining, fans are excited about the new installment.

In a recent interview with E!, Zendaya explained that filming the third movie was “kind of bittersweet” since “we don’t know if we’re gonna do another one…Like, isn’t it just going to be three and done? Normally you do three movies and that’s pretty much it.”

Continuing to talk about her experience, the actress stated, “We were all just absorbing and taking the time to just enjoy the moment, being with each other and being so grateful for that experience.” She added that she has been playing the role of MJ since she was nineteen years old. “It’s pretty special to have grown up all together and be a part of another legacy.”

Zendaya has grown up on and off-screen with Spider-Man co-stars Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon, as the trio often attends promotional events for the series together. Both Holland and Batalon will be returning for the latest installment of the Spider-Man franchise along with Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, and Angourie Rice.

While we wait for Spider-Man: No Way Home, you can watch Zendaya’s latest project, Space Jam: A New Legacy, on July 16, where she has taken the role of Lola Bunny.
