After five weeks, the film finally grossed over $187 million, thus snagging a sequel.

The Disneyland ride, Jungle Cruise, follows Frank Wolff and Dr. Lily Houghton and their journey through the Amazon. The duo search for an ancient tree called “The Tree of Life” that supposedly can heal. This riverboat adventure is filled with twists and turns as the two face wild animals and reptiles, as well as a dose of the supernatural. The movie leaves the audience wondering if the two will find the tree and how it will change medicine.

So far, additional information regarding the sequel is unknown. While fans wait for more information to unfold, Jungle Cruise is available in the theaters and on Disney+.
