HyunA and DAWN Celebrate Engagement After 5 Years of Dating
Our favorite “PING PONG” couple, HyunA and DAWN, have officially announced their engagement on their social media platforms.
On February 3, HyunA took to Instagram to share a clip of herself and longtime partner and lover DAWN’s left hands with matching rings along with a caption that states, “Of course, it’s a yes,“ following the statement were various crying emojis. The post has led fans and supporters to believe that our favorite couple is officially engaged after five years of dating.
DAWN also posted to his official Instagram with a similar clip, stating, “MARRY ME,” with a blue heart emoji to follow and a closer look at the pairs matching rings. The rings themselves are stunning and fit perfectly with the aesthetic and personalities of the vibrant and colorful couple.
On November 5, HyunA sat down for an interview on SBS’s Night of Real Entertainment following her first solo comeback in two years with “Flower Shower.” In the interview, HyunA was then asked who confessed their feelings first, to which she replied, “I did. I liked him for a while. I waited to tell him that I liked him carefully, but then he immediately suggested that we date.”
HyunA and DAWN confirmed they’d been dating for two years in August 2018. Since then, they have shared various works and solo projects amongst their talents and even formed a debut group. Their latest mini-album is entitled 1+1=1, following their transition to their new music label, P NATION, founded by Psy based in South Korea. P Nation is home to talented musical artists such as Jessi, Heize, and Crush.
As of February 3, the duo’s song “Ping Pong” has reached a record-breaking total of 67,934,250 views. The song first premiered on September 9, 2021.
We wish Hyudawn all the best as they celebrate their engagement with loved ones and peers.
