Celebrities. They’re just like us. Even Harry Styles texts the wrong number from time to time as Rosalía shared on Jimmy Fallon.

The Spanish songstress was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her new music. She then revealed that she changes her phone number quite frequently, so it was only a matter of time before a mishap like this occurred. “I didn’t know that that happened. I thought that when you use a phone number, then that phone number disappears or something,” told the late-night host. “My friends, who thought that they were texting me, were texting random people.

The Spanish songstress was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her new music. When she revealed that she changes her phone number quite frequently, it was only a matter of time before a mishap like this occurred. “I didn’t know that that happened. I thought that when you use a phone number, then that phone number disappears or something,” told the late-night host. “My friends, who thought that they were texting me, were texting random people.”

Pop singer Harry Styles happened to be one of those friends. In a series of screenshots provided by Rosalía, the audience can see the “Watermelon Sugar” singer praising her for her “beautiful” song.

The unknown texter seemed to go on with the charade for a bit even telling Styles, “I love you.” The text conversation did not last long, though, as the person was quick to shut the whole thing down writing, “Haha sorry. You’re wrong. I don’t know who you are.” The Manchester native didn’t hide his confusion, to which the mystery texter replied, “This number belongs to someone before. But now it’s my number. So don’t bother me anymore. Good night. Thanks.”

Styles swiftly messaged the “Con Altura” singer on Instagram with screenshots of the exchange. He wrote, “these texts are confusing.”

Host, Jimmy Fallon, along with the audience couldn’t contain their laughter and neither could fans on Twitter.

Rosalía and Styles have been friends for quite some time since the pair are both signed to Sony Music. Rosalía was even the narrator for Styles’ “Adore You” music video. We can only hope that she’ll tip off the Don’t Worry Darling actor the next time she goes for a number change.
