Grammy award-winning artist Doja Cat debuted new music at the hottest and arguably most iconic festival: Coachella. The singer delivered an exquisite performance in The Valley.

Doja Cat gave fans a memorable performance on the Coachella stage on April 17. The singer performed songs off Hot Pink and Planet Her, including “Say So” and Grammy-winning single “Kiss Me More.” Doja also threw in an epic surprise with former collaborators Rico Nasty and Tyga joining in on the fun. Rico and Doja shared the stage for their “Tia Tamera” duet; Tyga took the stage to perform “Juicy.”

After leaving the fans nostalgic, she delivered two new songs: “Vegas” and another track presumably called “F*cked Up.” “Vegas” appeared early in the set, with the “Woman” singer revealing that she did the track for Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming Elvis biopic.

Luhrmann took to Tik Tok to reveal that Doja Cat would appear on the movie soundtrack, stating, “In Elvis, you’ll get classic Elvis, but we’re translating some of the music into a contemporary feel with an array of amazing guest artists.” The director also shared that Shonka Dukureh is the perfect Willie Mae “Big Mama” Thornton, but the question became, “Who could possibly translate if Beale Street was now?” The answer was simple: Doja Cat.

Doja Cat’s “Vegas” track interpolates “Hound Dog,” the song written specifically for Big Mama Thornton.

Doja Cat is absolutely unstoppable. All of her discographies are available to stream on all major music platforms. Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis will only be playing in theaters on June 24.
