Maggie Rogers Releases New Song ‘Horses’
Another new Maggie Rogers song is here. The “That’s Where I Am” singer shared the newest single, “Horses,” off her upcoming record, Surrender.
On July 14, Maggie Rogers released the third single from Surrender, “Horses.” The song follows previous singles “That’s Where I Am” and “Want Want.” The singer announced her album in March.
One day later, Rogers released the “Horses” music video. She revealed that she filmed “Horses” over the fourth of July weekend in Upstate New York with close friends and collaborators Kelly Jeffrey and Michael Scanlon.
“Horses” is another powerful track in Rogers’ discography. She states of the track, “It’s a song about letting go. About wanting to feel free in a time where I felt an overwhelming amount of numbness. Sometimes I’m singing to a loved one, sometimes a friend. Sometimes I think I’m singing to myself. And I love that I can’t always tell the difference.”
The “Horses” music video finds Rogers singing in stunning country landscapes while her acoustic guitar drapes over her body. She sings from a special place, allowing listeners to easily feel all of her emotions. Rogers’ soaring vocals throughout encourage the listener to belt out the song’s chorus, “I see horses running wild / I wish I could feel like that for just a minute.”

Congratulations to Maggie Rogers on an awesome new song. Surrender arrives at the end of this month on July 29 through her label Capitol Records. This is an album you do not want to miss this summer.
