And Just Like That Carrie and Aidan Set to Reunite in New Season 2
HBO Max released a set of photos for Season 2 of And Just Like That, where fans of Sex and the City can expect the return of Aidan Shaw.
John Corbett’s charming woodworker character, Aidan Shaw, will make a comeback to revive his love for Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Carrie Bradshaw in the new season of the reboot series.
Furthermore, the news was confirmed by Sarah Jessica Parker, as she teased a “happy reunion” between the two actors. This is the first time Carries ex- fiancé, Aidan Shaw is returning to the world of Sex and the City, after his brief appearance in the movie sequel based on the cult favorite series, in 2010. During the launch of her flagship boutique, SJP Collection, in New York City, Parker told Extra that Corbett “brings a lot of joy. He’s a kind of preternaturally happy person and he’s so excited to be back.”

The actress continues to gush about the return of Aidan Shaw and what this could mean for the old and devoted fans of the series. Parker also states “it’s an amazing storyline that [executive producer] Michael Patrick King and the writers have sorted out. And I think will be really meaningful to the audience who feel a lot of affection for him.”
Without spilling too much, she did leave us with some details commenting, “I can’t say anything except, it’s just really great to be in his company again and to have a storyline that is also happy and fun and familiar, but new because it’s been 10, 15 some years.”
The series’ Instagram and, Sarah Jessica Parker both posted a photo of the two star-crossed lovers. The pair are seen walking around the streets of New York, holding each other’s hands.
The caption reads “Shh. Don’t tell anyone,” to which Parker replies, “Shhhh. X, SJ.” Could this mean the pair that everyone rooted for, has finally got their happy ending? We will find out when the second season premieres on May 3. In the meantime, the first season is available to stream on HBO Max.
