Since the release of her album, SOS, SZA has been center-stage in the music world. Now, she has announced that the deluxe version of her chart-topping album will feature ten additional songs.

It has been a ground-breaking year for SZA with the release of her second studio album after a five-year hiatus. Following her wildly successful debut album, Ctrl, SZA had several musical features and released a few singles, but it was an album that fans were patiently waiting for. Needless to say, SOS delivered, justifying the long wait and setting the music industry abuzz.

SOS was released on December 9, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album remained at #1 for seven consecutive weeks, and its hit song “Kill Bill” reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The global artist, who was recently named Billboard’s “Woman of the Year,” is sure to remain a powerful force in the music industry. In addition to preparing for the release of the deluxe version of SOS, she is also embarking on her first arena tour

While she did not mention a specific release date for the deluxe version, SZA did discuss what it means to her in an interview with Billboard. Referring to the upcoming release, SZA stated: “After I do the deluxe, I’m hoping to be able to accept that this chapter is done. I’m looking forward to actually feeling proud of myself and not just smiling and nodding at accolades but really feeling it internally and knowing that I’m good enough.”

In the same interview, SZA got vulnerable about her feelings regarding her music and the fame it has brought her. She mentioned her struggles with never feeling good enough and her desire to feel proud of all she has accomplished. SZA also explained the obstacles she faces as a Black woman in music, especially as she experiments more with her sound, stating: “It’s hard making music as a Black woman [because] we don’t get the luxury to try something and have it be something that’s genuinely part of us. You have to allow people to get to know different parts of you.”

While she grapples with the complicated emotions surrounding her success, there is still plenty for SZA to look forward to, namely her sold-out tour, which kicked off just a few days ago.

In addition to supporting her on tour, fans are excitedly preparing for the deluxe version of SOS.

Evidently, it has been a whirlwind year for SZA and she doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. With the upcoming release of the deluxe version of her record-breaking album and the start of her first headlining arena tour, SZA most certainly is the Woman of the Year.
