Lorde Surprises Fans With Life Update and Stunning New Pictures
Lorde recently updated her “Solar Power Institute Bulletin,” an email list for her fans, where she gave us a look at her life for the first time since 2022.
The “bulletin” was created in anticipation of her 2021 album, Solar Power. The album was beachy, fresh, and positive, as were the emails she sent to fans. However, she hasn’t sent an email since her birthday in November of 2022. She teased the email the night before on the singer’s Instagram story, which has since been deleted.

Issue number 21 of the bulletin shows Lorde in her post-touring era, relaxing in white cotton shirts and eating off of white shell-shaped plates. She shares pictures of her tour and the various venues she visited, including her final tour destinations in Australia.
One surprising picture was a photograph of her in a “scenario with MUNA that [she] cannot f**king explain.” The photograph showed the band members surrounding Lorde as they playfully strike fighting poses.
In her email, the singer opened up about her personal life. She shared that touring with Solar Power changed how she “heard” and “saw” it. The singer went on to state that she “realized that you give me the opportunity to see myself in states of power, glory, grace, sides of myself I don’t think I’d be able to access or see as clearly if not for these nights together.” “You” refers to her audience and fans.
She thanked her fans repeatedly throughout her message. Toward the end, she teased that she had something in store. What it is, however, she’s decided to keep secret for the time being. “I guess I’m not telling, not for a while. I’ll send you an update from time to time though,” she stated. She ended the note with a list of books she’s read, a recipe, and pictures of a pillow she commissioned from the brand Bode, which is embroidered with “things that make [her] feel calm.” “Grapefruit fruju, hibiscus, kissing, pearl, books, bud,” she wrote.
