The entertainment industry mourns a loss after Euphoria producer Kevin Turen has passed away at 44.

Kevin Turen, producer for Euphoria and The Idol, has passed away at 44. Turen’s passing was confirmed late Sunday; however, no details on his death have been released.

Spokesman and friend at Penske Media Corporations, Jay Penske, was the one to confirm Turen’s passing in a recent statement. “Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his friends and family.”

Penske stated, “[Turen] was so proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina were resolved that their children grow up with great values and ensure they make a difference in the broader world. Our collective heart breaks for them, and we all feel such a profound sense of loss. We will miss Kevin so much, and this town lost one of its brightest rising stars today.”

Turen was a native New Yorker who graduated from Columbia University with a degree in English and Critical Film Studies. The Hollywood producer proceeded to co-found Little Lamb Productions alongside Sam and Ashley Levinson.

Little Lamb Productions has produced several hit series and films, including Euphoria, Malcolm and Marie, Breaking, and Irma Vep.

Turen’s death follows Euphoria’s announcement that Season 3’s release date is being pushed until 2025. His passing also comes just months after the passing of the Euphoria star Angus Cloud.

Turen’s father has since released a statement on his son’s passing to Deadline. “Kevin was so incredibly special,” his dad explained. “The world is going to be less without him.”

Friends and colleagues of Turen have paid tribute to the Hollywood producer. “A good friend and true indie filmmaker died too young tonight,” wrote film producer Cassian Elwes in a recent tweet. “I’m so sad. Hold your loved ones close. Life is precious and fleeting.”

Turen lives on through his wife, Evelina, and their two sons, Jack and James. While they look into the official cause of death, friends, family, fans, and the industry alike mourn the loss of the rising star.
