Keke Palmer recently released the trailer for her new scripted series, Big Girl Blues, on her platform, KeyTV Network.

The series stars singer and songwriter Jane Handcock, who portrays Myariah Summers. Big Girl Blues takes place in the Bay Area, California, and explores Summers’ dating life while she navigates the music industry as a new artist. The series also features original music created by Handcock and was created and written by Chris Cobbs.

Keke Palmer, who is an executive producer for the series, posted the trailer on her Instagram with the caption, “With Big Girl Blues, we’re ready to bring a fresh take to the coming of age story for Black women in 2024. We wanted to create a show that audiences could relate to when it comes to the ups and downs of dating, and also vibe to with a completely original soundtrack. Myariah Summers brings her own authentic sound and a hilarious perspective, and we know that people will fall in love with her and the relatable storylines.”

Palmer added that the entire season of Big Girl Blues will be available on KeyTV Network’s Facebook and YouTube channels on March 20 as a treat to viewers. She also highlighted the other executive producers of the series, including Nora Radd, Chris Cobbs, Jane Handcock, and Sharon Palmer.

The actress first announced her digital platform, KeyTV Network, on her Instagram in September 2022 with a trailer and a caption stating, “I’ve been doing this for 20 years, but this is what I’m most proud of. Y’all always say I keep a job, now I’m making sure we all got one. Sharing the keys to the culture is my greatest gift – this is for you and for us, from me.”
