According to Billboard, the “Bad Guy” singer will focus on environmental sustainability for this tour. They explain, “On the upcoming tour, sustainability efforts will include reducing greenhouse-gas pollution, decreasing single-use plastic waste, supporting climate action, and updating concession offerings to promote plant-based food options.” Additionally, a portion of ticket sales from the North American leg will go to the non-profit, Reverb. Its focus is to promote environmental sustainability amongst musicians and their fans.
Moreover, Eilish has been encouraging fans to wear upcycled clothing instead of buying new. This is to combat the waste caused by fast fashion. The “Ocean Eyes” singer also proposed fans take public transportation to her concerts. In addition to Reverb, Eilish has teamed up with Support + Feed to help combat the climate crisis and food insecurity.
Fans have been waiting for confirmation of Eilish’s tour since the announcement of her third album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, which will be released May 17. She has since revealed the tracklist which will feature 10 songs, with no lead single. The “Lovely” singer took to Instagram to confirm this, “Not doing singles I wanna give it to you all at once.”
The singer’s sustainability efforts will also extend to the release of her new vinyl. According to Billboard, the Hit Me Hard and Soft vinyl will come in 8 variants. They explain, “all of which will become available on the same day and feature the exact same track-listing – and, most importantly, all of which are produced by using recycled materials.” Eilish also tells Billboard, “We are doing everything we can to minimize waste in every aspect of my music.”
