Brandy is confirmed to feature on Normani’s first solo debut album, DOPAMINE, which will be released on Friday, June 14.

Normani revealed that Brandy is featured on DOPAMINE in her latest Rolling Stone interview. She shared that she was inspired by her 2008 song “A Capella (Something’s Missing).”

This collaboration has sparked fans’ interest due to the influence Brandy has had on R&B, in addition to Normani’s admiration of the artist herself.

Brandy’s discography, vocal style, and musical innovations have been widely recognized and respected, which makes her contribution to the debut album all the more noteworthy.

In response to a comment asking her about working on Normani’s debut album, Brandy confirmed that the two R&B singers have worked on music together. This confirmation was well received, as fans of both artists are eager to hear the results of their collaboration.

The “Love Lies” singer has been working on her debut album for a few years, while her fans anticipated its release.

During this time, Normani has released a few singles and featured on multiple songs. Her previous hits, such as “Wild Side,” “Motivation” and her collaboration with Sam Smith on “Dancing with a Stranger,” have established her as more than capable of success as a solo artist following the disbandment of Fifth Harmony.

Normani officially announced DOPAMINE in February. Moreover, she recently released a short album trailer, which provides a glimpse into the sound and aesthetic of the project. The trailer has been well-received, adding to the buzz surrounding the album’s release.

The website for DOPAMINE is wheresthedamnalbum.com, the humorous nature of the website’s name reflects Normani’s engagement with her fanbase and her awareness of how eager they are for new music.

Other confirmed featured artists on her album include Gunna and James Blake. Normani released the singles “Candy Paint” and “1:59,” which features Gunna, ahead of the album. The complete track list for DOPAMINE has not been revealed yet, so additional song titles remain unknown.

While waiting for the full album and the collaboration between Normani and Brandy, fans can pre-save DOPAMINE on Spotify and pre-order it on Apple Music until its release here.
