Marsai Martin announced that tickets are on sale for her annual summer event, Sai Summer Cookout. This year, it will be held on August 24 from 6-10 p.m.

The post reads, “Sai Summer Cookout DMV. August 24. Tickets available now at www.saisummercookout.com. Link in my bio!”

The site reads, “‘Sai Summer Cookout,’ hosted by Marsai Martin, is an annual get-together for the community that feels like one big family reunion—bringing the best music, food, games, and most importantly—vibes.”

The actress and producer hosted the cookout for the first time last year in Atlanta. The event is meant to be held every year in a new city and “unite the community in a positive and meaningful way.”

There is also a behind-the-scenes video that gives insight into how the event came to be. It’s just over 26 minutes long and is titled “the making of Sai Summer Cookout Atlanta.”

The turnout for the cookout last year saw over 2,000 attendees. There was live music from DJs, food trucks, prizes and giveaways, a VIP section, and featured Black-owned businesses. Those who are interested can go beyond registering to attend the event and complete a volunteer or vendor application.

The site features a detailed FAQ page. It answers questions like, “Can I bring media equipment?” “Can I attend if I’m under 18?” “Is there any merch left from last year?” and “Where can I find a list of the vendors from Sai Summer Cookout to support those Black-owned businesses?”

Sai Summer Cookout has its own X and Instagram account, so you can follow those for updates on the event. Admission to the event is strictly invite-only, so if you don’t want to miss it, get your tickets here.
