Blake Lively Makes Red-Carpet Hair Affordable With Blake Brown Beauty
Actress Blake Lively is stepping into the haircare arena with her new line, Blake Brown Beauty. Named after Lively’s birth name, the haircare line has spent seven years in development and is now ready to hit the shelves.
The Gossip Girl alum is known for her exceptional hair quality (but, not necessarily the hairstyles she wore on the series – seriously, ask the GG fanbase). “Ever since I was a kid, through adolescence, early adulthood, motherhood, work, personal life, whenever, wherever, the single most identifiable part about me has always been my personalit— no? Not my personality? Oh… My hair,” she joked.
She compares her hair and relationships, mentioning that “it’s healthiest when you take good care of each other.” In doing so, Lively curated a vegan and cruelty-free haircare brand that doesn’t include harsh sulfates and parabens but contains valuable ingredients and a high-end perfume-like scent.
The full Blake Brown Beauty line includes the following range of products:
- Fundamental Nourishing Shampoo
- Fundamental Nourishing Mask
- Fundamental Strengthening Shampoo
- Fundamental Strengthening Mask
- All-in-wONEder Leave-in Potion
- The Dry Shampoo
- Glam Mousse
- Rich Reset Pre-ShampooMask
Although there is no official price list yet, the brand ensures consumers get red-carpet-ready hair without the hefty price tag. “I wanted something that was more affordable but had the same salon/red carpet performance… turns out highest quality is most expensive, who knew?? There’s a reason brands tend to have to make compromises, but we didn’t stop til we got there. (Refer back to 7 years in the making)” the founder stated in an announcement post on Instagram.
The actress made sure no detail went unnoticed, as she promised an exquisite formulation, inside and outside the bottle. Understanding that people’s bathroom shelves are limited and can only fit so much, Lively notes, “As someone who loves design desperately, I wanted it to look stunning on your shelf because that’s valuable space in your home, it should be beautiful. I was uncompromising on achieving all of those things at once.”
Blake Brown Beauty hits Target’s shelves on August 4 and BlakeBrownBeauty.com on August 5. Sign up for updates here.
