Billie Eilish wraps up the year with yet another achievement under her belt. The Grammy-winning artist has been named Apple Music’s Artist of the Year.

This recognition follows Eilish’s remarkable success at just 22 years old. Earlier this year, she earned two Grammys for her emotional hit “What Was I Made For?” featured in the Barbie film. Eventually, she won an Oscar for the song, becoming the youngest person in history to win two Academy Awards. The star expressed her gratitude for Apple Music’s honor.

“Since day one, Apple Music has supported my music and artistry, and I am both honored and humbled to receive this recognition as Artist of the Year this many years into my career,” the singer expressed.

She continued to shine in with the release of her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. The album was met with critical acclaim and produced the global chart-topping hit “Birds of a Feather,” earning the singer seven Grammy nominations. Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s Senior Director of Content, cited this standout “Hard and Soft” era as the driving force behind the decision to honor her as Artist of the Year.

“What’s been truly remarkable about watching her evolve over the course of this last year isn’t just that her voice and artistry have continued to resonate so widely. It’s that she’s blossomed as bravely and honestly as she has — on her own terms, in her own way,” Newman stated.

However, this isn’t the first time she has earned this prestigious title. She was previously named Artist of the Year in 2019 after skyrocketing to fame with her chart-topping album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? With this latest recognition, the star becomes the first artist in history to receive the honor twice.

Fans were thrilled to see the star receive this honor.
