Jessica Alba Retains Divorce Lawyer, New Split From Cash Warren
After 16 years of marriage, actress and businesswoman Jessica Alba has retained a divorce lawyer, officially parting ways with husband, Cash Warren.
Recently, rumors swirled of the couple splitting. In December, TMZ captured photos of the actress in Rome with director Andrea Iervolino, noticeably without her wedding ring, discussing their film Maserati: The Brothers. The following month, the Honest Company, Inc. founder was spotted attending the pre-Golden Globes party without Cash or her ring in sight. However, this isn’t the first time the couple has allegedly contemplated calling it quits. A US Weekly Insider source, shared the rough patches throughout the pair’s marriage.
“They have had many ups and downs as any marriage would after being together for so many years,” the insider revealed. “They have tried therapy and have worked out past issues over the years.” Ultimately, the romance faded after trust issues in the past led to many arguments.
But the couple are allegedly on good terms.
“No matter what’s going on right now, it seems they will remain close,” a People Magazine source stated. “If they’re filing for divorce, it’s not because of some hateful drama. They still look happy together. Jess has mentioned over the years that it’s hard to keep the spark.”
Indeed, she has talked about this before. In April 2024, Alba spoke candidly about her marriage during an episode of Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s BDA Baby podcast.
“I would say it’s all rosy for two-and-a-half years. But then after that you become roommates,” Alba shared. “You’re just going through the motions, the responsibilities. It’s a lot of like checking the boxes.”
Because of the recent fires in Los Angeles, California, their divorce process has allegedly nearly halted. During this time, the couple has been living under one roof, spending more time with each other and their three children. In the meantime, Alba has been working with the nonprofit, Baby2Baby, where she serves as a board member and ambassador, preparing fire relief hygiene kits for children affected by the disaster. The actress took to Instagram to post pictures of the kits and encouraged people to give back to those in need.
“Yesterday, I had the privilege of spending the afternoon at @baby2baby with so many beautiful souls, packing fire relief hygiene kits for children,” she captioned the post. “This Friday, 750 kits will be distributed to kids who have either been evacuated or lost their homes in the Altadena fire.”
