Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, and More to Perform at New FireAid Benefit Concert
The FireAid benefit concert will be held at both Intuit Dome and Kia Forum on Thursday, January 30, to support those affected by the L.A. wildfires. Billie Eilish and Finneas, Joni Mitchell, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the headlining performers.
The full list of performing artists includes: Billie Eilish, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, Sting, and Tate McRae.
All proceeds made from the FireAid benefit concert will be allocated to short-term relief efforts and long-term projects to rebuild communities and prevent future fire damage throughout the Southern California area. These contributions will be distributed under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation which is recognized for its generous philanthropic work.
John Mayer and Dave Matthews will perform together for the first time, as Mayer announced on Instagram, “It’s an honor to be in a position to help a cause as important as rebuilding lives and communities that were devastated by wildfires. I’ll be performing live next to one of my musical heroes Dave Matthews…”
Pop artist Tate McRae showed her support for the L.A. area by writing on Instagram, “I moved from Canada to Los Angeles five years ago to pursue my dreams and consider myself blessed to call this place home. I am inspired by so many people in this city – all of whom are selfless, hardworking, strong, and compassionate. I’m so honored to be a part of this incredible group of artists coming together for our city.”
The L.A. wildfires have killed at least 27 people and burned down more than 12,000 homes, schools, and other structures. Hundreds of thousands have had to evacuate their houses and pack what they can. The Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire continue to blaze on, furthering the damage of these destructive fires.
As many of these artists call L.A. home, it must mean a lot to them to get to help their city in any way that they can. FireAid will announce more artists performing at the concert in the upcoming days.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Ticketmaster at noon on Wednesday, January 22. The concert will also be broadcasted at select AMC theaters and available for streaming on YouTube, Netflix, Apple TV, Apple Music, Max, and Prime Video.
