Lucky Daye and Earth, Wind, & Fire Team Up to Release Soulful Song ‘You Want My Love’
Surprising fans with an unexpected collaboration, Lucky Daye and Earth, Wind, & Fire, have released a timeless-sounding single titled “You Want My Love.” Tapping into true R&B and soul, this new single is sure to be a hit amongst fans of both artists.
After making the announcement only a few days ago, “You Want My Love” was officially released on August 20. Randomly posting across social media, Lucky Daye and Earth, Wind, & Fire shared teaser photos for the song cover and a few photos of the members of the iconic group. Lucky Daye had also released exclusive footage of the 4 men in the studio, along with a short snippet of the new song.
After the new single officially dropped, fans of the men went crazy on social media, sharing their excitement. The new single encompasses everything people seem to love about R&B and soul music, from the instrumental to the beautiful riffs throughout the song. “You Want My Love” definitely gives off those ’80-’90s R&B sound that you would hear from artists like Smokey Robinson or Marvin Gaye and makes you want to get up and grab your significant other and slow dance. Fans of both artists felt similar feelings of nostalgia and appreciation for soul music as well.

Earth, Wind, & Fire have been a staple in the R&B and funk scene, making hits like “September” and “Boogie Wonderland” and making quite the name for themselves since 1969. Lucky Daye, fairly new to the music scene, had waves since releasing his hit songs like “Late Night” and “Karma.” Lucky Daye has also participated in other amazing collaborations with artists like Kiana Ledé and had one of his songs featured in the soundtrack for HBO’s Insecure. As for Earth, Wind & Fire, this new release is their latest musical venture, and if this is the content we’re getting from both artists, only time will tell what brilliant music could be in store later down the line.
