J. Cole Shuts Down Rumors About Releasing New Album
J. Cole shuts down rumors in a new blog post on January 29, about if he will be releasing his new album The Fall Off, anytime soon.
The rumors and fan speculation began after Cole started his own blog on January 28 to celebrate turning 40. However, in his latest post, the artist wrote, “Ib told me some people was thinking this blog meant an album was about to drop.”
“Nahh. Not exactly, when it’s time for something you will know,” he continued. “This is not that, I just wanted to place a to share documentaries I watch on YouTube and songs I f**k with.”
He then went on to thank his fans for the love and comments. “This was the anthem for the day. For real,” the end of his post read.
When Will J. Cole’s New Album Release?
The Fall Off is rumored to be Cole’s final album after it was teased in 2020. The album is expected to serve as a follow-up to The Off Season album, which he released in 2021.
Cole has yet to announce a release date for The Fall Off but fans speculate that it will release in the coming months. The speculation comes from Cole announcing that his ‘Dreamville fest’ tour is in its final year, which suggests the The Fall Off up next.
During the 2014 Forest Hills Drive anniversary show on December, 16, 2024, Cole explained to the crowd, “See y’all at Dreamville Fest. Hopefully, I have something new to perform for y’all.”

What is J. Cole’s Blog?
Cole started his blog titled The Algorithm just hours before turning 40 and explained in his first post, “This is just a place for me to share.”
“I’ve been wanting a little blog for years. Somewhere to post random s**t I f**k with where the audience is way smaller than it is on the social media platform,” he continued. “Finally pulled the trigger, bare with us as we still developing this page and the layout.”
Cole later wrote that he has been blogging since he was nine years old and continued to express his gratitude to the fans for their support. He ended his first post by writing, “Happy new year to y’all and God bless. 2025 will be a good one.”
