Lola Tung’s Paris Fashion Week Glam Is Minimal and Modern With an Edgy Twist
Lola Tung proves minimalist makeup doesn’t mean playing it safe. At Paris Fashion Week, celebrity makeup artist Misha Shahzada, with the help of Wonderskin, paired Tung’s high-neck leather look with fresh, softly flushed skin, a sharp wing, and a diffused lip that complemented her natural features.
In an era where “ghost lashes” dominate Pinterest boards, the makeup artist saturated only her bottom lashes, creating an unexpected contrast that gave the otherwise minimalist look more edge.
“I wanted to keep Lola’s makeup minimal but still have a little edge to complement the overall look. Fresh skin, a soft flush, and a natural tonal lip, with a sharp winged liner to bring everything together. I wanted the makeup to feel clean and modern, without taking away from her natural features,” Shahzada discussed in a statement.
Of course, a beauty look this good doesn’t happen without a little help from some friends. Here’s a breakdown of everything Shahzada used to bring the Summer I Turned Pretty actress’s glam to life.
Skin: Shahzada started with the Wonderskin Hyper Bond All Day Stay Serum Foundation in Bliss, creating an even, fresh-looking base that still lets Tung’s natural skin shine through.
Flush: For a touch of color, she tapped the Wonderskin Phlush Stick onto the apples of her cheeks and across the bridge of her nose, using her fingertips to blend everything into a soft, natural-looking flush.
Graphic Liner: The eye look got its edge from the Wonderskin Wonder Blading Longwear Eyeliner in Black, tracing the upper and lower waterlines before extending it outward into a sharp, graphic flick.
Lashes: Instead of coating the top lashes, Misha went all in on the bottom with Wonderskin Infinite Rizz Mascara in Black. The generous application adds definition while letting the graphic liner remain the star of the eye look.
Lips: Keeping the lips in the same understated color family, Misha used the Wonderskin 360 Contour Lip Liner in Nutmeg, first outlining the lips before softly blurring the pigment with a brush and filling them in for a diffused, tonal finish.
Finishing Glow: She tapped a tiny amount of Wonderskin Lip Rehab Serum in Clear onto the center of the lower lip, adding just enough shine to give the otherwise soft, matte-leaning lip a subtle glossy finish.
With fresh skin, a sharp wing, and unexpected bottom-lash drama, the look makes minimalist beauty feel anything but boring.
