DJ Khalid Shares Story Behind ‘I’m The One’

In his latest Billboard interview, DJ Khalid explains how the song came to life. He said he had a vision, called up Justin Bieber and Bieber invited him over to his house and they spoke about the track. Then he called Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne and they were all down to work on the track.

His favorite part about creating this song was that it was all made out of love, which is why he felt that people would enjoy it so much. He also said it was fun to create it. DJ Khalid’s new song sends you all a message: You should believe in yourself. DJ Khalid finished by saying that having this mentality is how you make it in life.
