Serena Williams Posts Adorable Photo with Daughter

New mother Serena Williams recently posted a conversation starter along with a photo of her and her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.

Baby Alexis, who was born September 1st during the US Open, has been the star of both of her parents’ social platforms, as well as her own Instagram.

The “Push Party”, as Williams’ conversation starter mentions, is a term that has taken its rise since Beyoncé had one of her own before the birth of her twins, Sir Carter and Rumi. Both women are friends, so it is very possible that the conversation starter has come from the current popularity raised from the Carter resurgence.

While both baby showers and push parties are hosted during pregnancy and are used to celebrate the coming of a newborn baby, there are fundamental differences between both events. The key difference is that push parties are usually reserved for the second and third child and attendance is for both men and women while baby showers are generally for only women.

Regardless of the difference, both Serena and Olympia, as Williams calls her, look happy and healthy in this picture. We hope is more to come!
