Lana Condor Wants You to Embrace Your Natural Beauty
Lana Condor encourages people to feel happy and proud of their skin and embrace their natural beauty.
Lana Condor is a Vietnamese-born American actress and YouTuber. She gained recognition for her Netflix film series To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. She is also known for starring in the television series Deadly Class, and the film Alita: Battle Angel. Recently on Jul 23, Lana Condor shared on Instagram her excitement of being Neutrogena’s latest brand ambassador.
She also claims that she was a big fan of the popular skin-care brand. In her interview with Marie Claire, she stated “My mom first introduced me to Neutrogena,” she says. “She would always tell me to wear my SPF, and once I started working, she introduced me to the iconic face wipes I now can’t live without.” Growing up, Lana Condor had always kept Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes near her bed to remove her makeup after a long day.
To her, being the brand ambassador for Neutrogena isn’t only about skincare, but also about diversity and representation. Being an Asian female to represent Neutrogena had made her felt proud. She had also mentioned the lack of diverse shades in the makeup industry. Through her partnership, she hopes to encourage people to be comfortable in their skin and embrace their natural beauty.
She had also stated in her interview, “I really want to represent inclusion in makeup; beauty can be very ostracizing if you don’t see yourself in it. With skincare, my hope is that everyone feels proud of the skin they’re in. I want to show others who may feel alone, that we can all feel safe, represented, and a part of something. Inclusion is the first and foremost thing I look for in a brand, and we can always do better. I’m excited to be a part of that.”
