Mariah Carey will be releasing an album entitled The Rarities, featuring a compilation of unreleased hits and live versions of classics such as “Emotions” and “Always Be My Baby”.

World-renowned singer, Mariah Carey, announced that she will be releasing an album called The Rarities, which will feature new and unreleased songs, as well as live versions of her most popular hits from her Tokyo Dome performance in 1996.

According to an article by Entertainment Weekly, this will be Carey’s seventh compilation album and will consist of 32 tracks.  One of the songs will be an unreleased collaboration with famous singer Lauryn Hill entitled “Save the Day”.

Carey first announced the album back in June to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her debut album, Mariah Carey. Furthermore, Carey views this upcoming album as a celebration of her achievements in the music career and a platform to “educate, inform and invoke change” as she wrote on her Instagram. She had intended to release the album at an earlier date but decided to postpone the release in light of the Black Lives Matter movement and social injustices taking place right now.
