Audrey, the new documentary has become available for streaming on Netflix, taking viewers into the private life of one of the most adored Hollywood stars of all time, Audrey Hepburn.

The documentary was first released in December of 2020 yet has just become available for streaming on Netflix this month, March 2021. The almost two-hour film digs dip into the life of the exquisite actress. Helena Coan, also known for Chasing Perfect and Keepsake, directed the film, alongside producers Salon Pictures. Director Coan takes fans into Hepburn’s personal life outside of the cameras and acting, delving deep into the stars most personal events.

Hepburn, the late actress, is most famous for her performance in Breakfast at Tiffany’s as her role of Holly Golightly. Yet, her roots go much further back. She began her Broadway career at the young age of 22 when she starred in Gigi. Hepburn then went on to win an Emmy, Tony, Grammy, and Academy Award, making her one of the few actresses to win all combinations of such awards. She was also ranked as the third-greatest female screen legend from the Golden Age of Hollywood by the American Film Institute. She was a staple fashion icon for females and was inducted into the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame Though she passed away in 1993, her legacy still lives on as she continues to be a role model and icon for females across the globe.

The documentary features interviews from family and friends of Hepburn. Viewers can expect interviews from her son, Sean Hepburn, her close friends, and even her granddaughter, Emma Ferrer. In an interview with Harpers BAZAAR, Ferrer talks about how the film reveals the unknown aspects of Hepburn, like her insecurities and the struggles Hepburn and mother and her faced after being abandoned by her father. Coan wants to rewrite the myth of the iconic legend, revealing that Hepburn was human and faced struggles as we all do, bringing the icon down to a more relatable level.

The documentary is an intimate portrait of the legendary actress, fashion icon, and humanitarian, Audrey Hepburn, who stood for love above all else, and is available for streaming on Netflix now.
