Little Mix has a surprise up their sleeves for fans as the girl group teased new music on the way in celebration of their 10th anniversary. This Thursday, August 19, marks an entire decade since the group’s creation on The X-Factor UK, and what a time it has been.

In 2011, four women auditioned for The X-Factor and were put together as a girl group. Comprised of Jade Thirlwall, Perrie-Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson, Little Mix was born and has released hit after hit for the last decade.

Ten years later, the ensemble of four has become a trio as former member Jesy Nelson left the group in December 2020, citing mental health reasons behind her decision to leave.

The Brit-award winning group teased fans with new music on the way with an Instagram post on August 15. Little Mix posted a video montage showing footage from some of their best moments over the past decade, including audio clips of some of their hit songs. Mixers quickly noticed a snippet of a new single towards the end of the video and reacted with shock and excitement.

As the 10th-anniversary mark moves closer and closer, the hashtag #10YearsofLittleMix began trending. The group celebrated this achievement by posting a video with clips of past and present music videos and telling their fans to keep their notifications on.

Time moves on, but the music left behind changes lives forever. Over the past ten years, Little Mix has become one of the most successful girl groups and has a fanbase that will love them forever. Next year, fans will have a chance to see the group perform live with The ‘Confetti‘ Tour and see their new wax figures unveiled at Madame Tussauds London.
