Singer Niall Horan took on the role of guest host Tuesday night for Jimmy Kimmel Live, and fans can’t get enough. The former One Direction member delivered a memorable monologue and spoke with some memorable guests.

“The idea of me hosting a comedy show is pretty interesting,” Horan joked in his monologue. “I’m the pop who has the reading age of a six-year-old and has zero business of being in front of a teleprompter.”

The rest of Horan’s monologue consisted of One Direction jokes, talking about his Irish heritage, and finally giving his fans a name (#HoranDogs).

In a later segment, Horan sat at Kimmel’s news desk for a virtual interview with “Rumors” singer Lizzo. The two were flirting hard as they chatted about new music, Lizzo’s first job before becoming famous, and their avid fans. We don’t know what it is about these two, but Lizzo and Horan had us laughing for the entire 15 minutes.

As the interview came to a close, Horan asked Lizzo if she remembers the first time they met. Laughing, she explains how she pulled up to a radio station in London which was surrounded by screaming fans.

“Turns out they were for you,” Lizzo said laughing. “and you were like, ‘congratulations Lizzo, you’re smashing it,’ and I was like, I’ll smash you.”

Besides Lizzo, the Jonas Brothers also made an appearance on Tuesday night’s episode. The four singers went out on a golf course, taking turns hitting golf balls while partaking in ridiculous tasks.

“As some of you may know, I’m a big golfer,” Horan told the audience during his monologue. “Last week, I wanted to hit the links, so I called up a few of my friends Kevin, Joe, and Nick. We have played a lot of rounds of golf together, and this time I decided to make things just a little bit interesting.”

Perhaps there’s a future for the former One Direction star in talk shows. For now, fans can find Horan’s hosting debut in the clip above.
