Euphoria star Hunter Schafer attended her first Met Gala on Monday night and looked out of this world in a custom metallic Prada two-piece. This year’s American Fashion theme drew in lots of extraordinary outfits, but this futuristic look truly lit up the red carpet.

Schafer, who collaborated with legendary celebrity stylist Law Roach. Roach described the look as “inspired by Prada FW 1999” in an Instagram post. Makeup artist Sandy Ganzer cited “90s grunge, dystopian sci-fi, and romantic horror” as the inspiration behind the look. Schafer also prominently featured burgeoning artist Evangeline Adalioryn, an independent, trans jewelry designer, with an unexpected accessory.

The spiky silver brooch was adhered to Schafer’s forehead, leaving just enough room for her icy white contacts to peek out. She kept all other accessories to a minimum, opting for three one-of-a-kind platinum and white gold rings, and a killer glass manicure that matched her headpiece.

As the case may be for many of the night’s star-studded attendees this transformation definitely took some time, but it was well worth the wait. The actress absolutely commanded the red carpet on her inaugural walk up the Met steps.

Schafer resumed filming the HBO show Euphoria earlier this year. Schafer will soon be filming her first film role for the horror movie, Cuckoo, which starts production in 2022.
