Dua Lipa Steps Out in Daring Fendi Gown After Her Runway Debut at Versace Show

Dua Lipa joined the “Fendace” movement by wearing a sheer Fendi gown in the front row at the Versace by Fendi show on Sunday, September 26. The pop star looked elegantly sexy in the sparkling number—which had the signature Fendi logo all over—at the end of an exciting weekend attending and walking in Milan Fashion Week.

The Fendace show was the first of its kind. Legendary designers Kim Jones and Donatella Versace created their takes on the opposite’s fashion houses. Best explained in a tweet from Fendi, it “is not a collaboration: it’s a unique moment in fashion, a disruptive and sincere celebration of Italian fashion.”

Although the face of Versace—and an excellent one at that—Dua wore a Fendi gown in true Fendace fashion at the show Sunday night. Niall Horan, Demi Moore, Cole Sprouse, and Winnie Harlow were among a few celebrities sitting front row alongside Dua Lipa. Lucky for us, the pop star documented the night. She shared photos from the night on Instagram, including a candid with friend Gigi Hadid at the after-party celebration.

The “Levitating” singer made an iconic runway debut just days before on Friday, September 24, at the Versace Spring/Summer 2022 show. She opened, strutting to her song “Physical” in a black skirt suit with cut-out detailing held together by colorful safety pins. If that’s not a power move, we’re not sure what is. A bold graphic liner look and a sleek hairstyle tied it all together. Then, all eyes were on Dua as she closed the show, this time in a glittering pink floor-length set.

As the face of Versace, the singer-turned-model has had her fair share of high fashion moments. The sparkle of the Versace Spring/Summer 2022 closing ensemble is somewhat reminiscent of the butterfly dress she wore to the Grammys earlier this year from the same designer. It seems Donatella has declared pink Dua’s color.
