Sabrina Spellman Joins ‘Riverdale’ in New Upcoming Sixth Season
The journey of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina may be over, but Sabrina Spellman will be embarking on a new journey as a newcomer resident of Riverdale. Fans are thrilled to learn of the return of the young witch, especially since this means there’s a new magical resident in town.
From Greendale to Riverdale, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) will be gracing the town with her chilling mystical presence, and it’s what fans never knew they needed, if not more.

Although The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina won’t be back, fans get to see her again in action as she joins Betty, Archie, Jughead, Cheryl, and Veronica. The 21-year-old star made the exciting announcement earlier today via Twitter and Instagram, posting a photo of her sitting on a director’s chair.

From the looks of the recent Instagram photo of Shipka and Madeline Petsch, Sabrina will be introduced through interaction with Cheryl Blossom (Petsch). According to E!, showrunner and creator Robert Aguirre-Sacasa said in a statement:
“We’ve been talking about having Sabrina visit Riverdale since season one, so it’s thrilling that this is finally happening, as part of our Riverdale special event. It’s also perfect that she shows up to help Cheryl Blossom during her hour of greatest need. Everyone on set lost their minds I think fans will, too. It’s really fun and special.”

In addition, Deadline reported back in July that Aguirre-Sacasa will be expanding The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to a new comic book series called The Occult World of Sabrina which will continue the storyline where someone is determined to bring her back to life. Perhaps, fans have even more of a treat to look forward to.
Riverdale season six will be available on Netflix and the CW on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Sabrina Spellman will be making her appearance in the fourth episode, titled “The Witching Hour”. Fans should also stay tuned for the release of the new comic book series, The Occult World of Sabrina.
