Mariah Carey Smashes Pumpkin in Anticipation of the Holiday Season
It’s the most wonderful time of the year again! The holiday season is officially back in full effect and blasting Mariah Carey’s holiday anthem “All I Want For Christmas” on repeat is normal again and will surely get you in the jolly holiday spirit.
Once the clock struck midnight after Halloween, the Godmother of Christmas took to her Instagram account and declared the holiday season by posting a video of her dressed in all red and smashing a pumpkin with a candy cane baseball bat.
It also appears the 52-year-old pop icon has a holiday surprise in store for fans since before the clip came to a close, the date “11/5” appeared stamped on a gift.

Just last year, the legendary songstress shared a similar video on her Instagram account with a mildly frightening clip of a creature walking through Carey’s home and opening a cobb webbed door to find the singer inside.
Furthermore, the singer also debuted “Oh Santa” featuring Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande, along with a holiday-inspired music video where they work together in a toy workshop with dancing elves and toy soldiers.

In an interview with Elle, Carey opened up and stated:
“After I kind of emerged from my first relationship-slash-marriage I created the Christmases that I wanted to have. A lot of very bad stuff happened to me when I was 12. But also, there is the spirit of that kid, that fighter who doesn’t give up, who does embrace who she is, even though the world didn’t understand that from my point of view.”
