Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz Will Appear on Good Sam for a One Tree Hill Reunion

Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz will appear on Bush’s new television series Good Sam. The actress trio is well known for their co-stardom on the iconic One Tree Hill. 

Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz are known for their OTH characters Brooke Davis, Peyton Scott, and Haley James Scott (respectively). Despite ending in 2012, the coming-of-age television show remains a conversation in pop culture. The small-town storylines and complex characters live on through the show’s dedicated fanbase.

The actresses joined forces in June of 2021 to launch Drama Queens, a podcast comprised of their experience filming One Tree Hill. The trio connects weekly to watch an episode of the show before enlightening fans to the behind-the-scenes of it all. 

The podcast’s content is beautifully balanced, recalling lighthearted nights out while simultaneously disclosing the toxic narratives imposed on each other. All three actresses have bravely shed light on the hypersexualization faced on set, as well as numerous counts of higher-ups forging drama to pit the girls against one another. In their early twenties, when they were new to the film industry, their naivety was taken advantage of and their talent was exploited. 

Their collaboration on the podcast has granted them the power to rebrand the narrative, as well as reclaim their experiences. Their real-life friendships, resilient testimonies, and undeniable touches of humor shine through in every episode. 

Sophia Bush now stars in Good Sam on CBS, playing a young cardiothoracic surgeon employed under her father. When Sam’s father, played by Jason Isaacs, falls into a coma, her excellence leads her to assume his leadership position as head of surgery. The show features a complex family dynamic, enticing medical drama, and a strong female lead.

CBS took to Twitter last week to announce the guest-starring of Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz on Good Sam, which Bush herself co-produces. OTH fans immediately began expressing their excitement toward the reunion across socials. New episodes of Good Sam premiere every Wednesday at 10 pm EST on CBS.
