Colson Baker, better known by his stage name, Machine Gun Kelly, is stepping into a directorial role for an upcoming film, Good Mourning. Kelly will also star in the film alongside Mod Sun, Pete Davidson (Saturday Night Live), and fiancée Meghan Fox (Transformers).

In addition to Kelly and Sun, the rest of the cast includes Becky G, Whitney Cummings, Dove Cameron, GaTa, Zach Villa, Jenna Boyd, and Boo Johnson.

Good Mourning is categorized as a stoner-comedy film. Kelly plays the character London Ransom, a movie star whose life makes a 180 turn when he gets dumped by the love of his life on one of the most important days of his career.

Challenged by difficult roommates and unprecedented events, Ransom’s day keeps getting worse until ultimately he is forced to choose between pursuing his one true love and landing the role of his dreams in a major movie.

“We are looking forward to bringing this wild comedy to audiences in theaters and at home on demand. The film is a reminder of how fun movies can be to make and watch […] Colson and this incredible cast will bring audiences to their knees in laughter and leave their jaws on the floor,” stated Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Open Road Films.

Fans of Kelly’s acting roles in films like Nerve and Project Power are excited to see his directorial debut. The movie will be released on May 20 in theatres and on-demand. Unfortunately, the trailer for the film hasn’t been released yet, but for now, you can view the poster below.
