The New Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Trailer Is Here
It’s been four years since Marvel’s Black Panther premiere broke box office records. The wait is finally over; the trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is here.
After the untimely death of Chadwick Boseman in August 2020, fans, cast, and director Ryan Coogler wondered if there would be a sequel to the iconic film and what it would look like. Ryan Coogler expressed the challenges he faced after the tragedy, adding that he considered walking away from Hollywood at one point. “I didn’t know if I could make another movie period, [let alone] another Black Panther movie, because it hurt a lot,” stated Coogler in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Taking much-needed time to grieve and reflect on his relationship with Chadwick and what he wanted for the film, Coogler decided to continue with the franchise. The highly anticipated film picks up in the wake of King Tchalla’s death as his people mourn the loss of their leader while continuing the fight to protect the place they call home.
Angela Bassett returns as Queen Ramonda, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku, and Danai Gurira as Okoye. Also reappearing in the film is War Dog Nakia, embodied by Us star Lupita Nyong’o, who discussed the film in an interview with Empire, “What Ryan ended up sharing with me was just so utterly truthful and beautiful,” she continued, “By the end of it, I was in tears.”
