Chelsea Handler has faced backlash for her viral video, “Day in the Life of a Childless Woman.” The satirical video gives a glimpse of a woman’s life without children, joking about how much free time she has by using a compilation of TikTok videos.

Ever since Trevor Noah left Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, the comedian has temporarily taken the mantel as one of the guest hosts and released a sketch about life as a childless woman. The video starts off with Handler’s alarm going off at 6 a.m. and her stating, “I wake up at 6 a.m. I remember that I have no kids to take to school. So I take an edible, m**turbate, and go back to sleep. I wake up at 12:30 p.m., and get ready for a busy day of doing whatever the f*ck I feel like.”

Then, the comedian slides on her most “stylish impractical shoes” since she doesn’t have to worry about “chasing a child around the grocery store.” Afterward, she goes to her favorite spot in Paris, and “grabs a croissant.” The weightlessness of not having children then gives her “superhuman strength” which she uses to “teleport back home” and gets ready for a night out with “whatever hot guy I met on Rayan that morning.” The video wraps up with her climbing Mount Everest and inventing the time machine to kill Hitler.

However, the video sparked outrage among right-wing commentators, such as Tucker Carlson and Ben Shapiro. The day the video went viral, Carlson brought on podcast host, Jesse Kelly, and they bashed Handler and her video. Kelly compared Handler’s womb to “a dried-up tumbleweed blowing down an old western town. Valentine’s date for the tenth year in a row is a 10-year-old copy of Magic Mike and a half-full bottle of Xanax, and you’re trying to pretend like you’re happy, but you’re not happy.” Ben Shapiro chimed in, stating how it’s, “written all over her face how miserable she is.”

Handler didn’t allow the men’s sexist comments to get under her skin, clapping back at them in a video response on Twitter.

“Wow. Why would I even need my own children when I get to hear these crybabies all the time? You guys seem so triggered by me,” she quipped in the video, “I mean, my goodness, Tucker, I think it is time for you to ask yourself a serious question: Are you really upset about how much freedom I have? Or are you upset that you haven’t been able to take it away from me yet?”

She made a quick jab at Shaprio, “Thank you for helping my cause of not having children. Who needs the birth control pill when your voice is 100 percent effective?”

She, in conclusion, clapped back her attack on Carlson, “I think we both know that you are hate-m**turbating to me,” she stated. “And I’m down with that!”
