Ryan Gosling Seen at Barbie Premiere Wearing Special Accessory in Honor of Eva Mendes
Ryan Gosling attended the Barbie premiere on Sunday alone, however, he made sure to wear a special accessory in honor of his longtime partner Eva Mendes.
Gosling was seen on the magenta-colored carpet wearing a baby-pink Gucci suit with a light pink undershirt. His look was completed with a pair of cream-colored Oxfords and more importantly, a hot pink pendant of the letter “E” written in the iconic Barbie brand font. The actor also made sure to keep the gold necklace as the star of his outfit by keeping the first few buttons of his shirt unbuttoned.

The subtle, yet touching gesture is not the first time the couple has shown support for each other. Mendes took to Instagram in May to share a photo of herself wearing a t-shirt of shirtless Gosling as Ken with a caption that mentioned “big Kenergy.”
The actress has also shared her excitement regarding her boyfriend’s role in Barbie in June 2022. In an appearance on The Talk, the actress shared how she had requested the Calvin Klein underwear Gosling wore in a promotional image for the Barbie movie.
The couple has kept their decade-long relationship relatively private and the two have only recently started to share some details of their relationship. They share two children, Esmeralda and Amada, who Gosling gushed about with Extra on Sunday. He mentioned the help of his kids and wife during the filming of his role as Ken, stating that they “inspired” him.
Gosling’s co-star Margot Robbie (Barbie) opted for a more classic tribute to the iconic blonde doll as she wore a replica of the 1960s Barbie “Solo in the Spotlight” outfit to the Los Angeles premiere. Others involved in the film took the pink carpet with their own style. Dua Lipa strutted with a custom, sparkly, mesh slip dress.
The highly anticipated Barbie can be seen in theaters on July 21, featuring Gosling as Ken and Robbie as Barbie.
