Britney Spears’ Revealing Memoir on Life Under Conservatorship

RCA

Britney Spears is breaking her silence after over ten years under conservatorship.

In her new book, The Women In Me, Spears shares about life under conservatorship, after being granted to her father in 2008. She speaks out on how it affected her mentally and physically, resulting in a loss of control over her finances and personal affairs.

During that time, Spears expressed how she felt she was stuck between a child and a woman, and how she experienced her womanhood getting stripped away and making her feel helpless. In addition, Spears mentions, “I became more of an entity than a person onstage. I had always felt music in my bones and my blood; they stole that from me.”

Furthermore, Britney emphasizes how she did not know how to handle the fame that came her way in such little time. This resulted in learning lessons along the way that made her who she is today. Now, Britney Spears is free and ready to finally speak the truth that everyone has been waiting for. Her new memoir is coming out in October will give an insight into everything Spears was thinking and feeling.

Spears’ constant battle between feeling like a child and an adult affected her greatly. When no one was treating her like an adult, she would revert back to acting like a child. Soon her adult self stepped back in, but no one treated her like one. It was a constant never-ending cycle.

For years, Britney Spears was forced to perform at concerts, even when she was sick and in poor health. This led the public to comment on Spears’ appearance and actions, agreeing that she looked different or wasn’t really herself.

Although Spears could not do anything about what was going on behind the scenes, many loyal fans thought that she was sending secret messages through her social media posts as a sign for help.

In June 2021, Spears accused her father and others of exploitation and abuse. After pleading with the judge, her dad was suspended as the conservator in September 2021, and by November, the conservatorship was terminated.

Since the end of her conservatorship, Spears has been more vocal than ever. She has watched people speak out about her story with no say.

Her self-memoir gives insight into how her life was taken away for more than thirteen years. Now, it is her turn to tell the truth by shutting down rumors and opinions that are not true.

Britney Spears’ memoir, The Women In Me, will be released on October 24.
