Kim Kardashian to Debut as Producer and Lead for New Comedy Film The 5th Wheel

Kim Kardashian is set to star in and produce the upcoming comedy movie, The 5th Wheel.

On Sunday, Deadline reported that Kardashian is set to star and produce, The 5th Wheel, which has been pitched to several major studios in Hollywood. The movie has already received bids from five studios, battling for the film’s rights.

The upcoming film, The 5th Wheel, is set to be written by Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell and One Day at a Time screenwriter Janine Brito.

Kim Kardashian’s new kick into acting and producing started recently with her role in the latest season of FX’s American Horror Story: Delicate as Siobhan, a publicist who works for the actress Anna Victoria Alcott, portrayed by Emma Roberts. Beyond that, Kim Kardashian also worked alongside actor Matt Czuchry and actress Cara Delevingne

Back in 2018, she made a cameo appearance in the popular Ocean’s Eleven female reboot film, Ocean’s Eight. Recently, Kardashian did the voice for the character Dolores, in PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.

“It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow,” The reality TV star revealed to Variety after taking on the American Horror Story role. “I’m so excited for the experience.”

“It’s a challenge,” Kardashian added. “I like to challenge myself.”

Kardashian’s acting journey first began with the 2008 film Disaster Movie, and she has since appeared in various roles, including Deep in the Valley, Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confession of a Marriage Counselor, and several television and film cameos as herself. Kardashian is simultaneously continuing her reign on the hit Hulu reality TV series, The Kardashians, alongside her family.

Kim Kardashian’s upcoming comedy film, The 5th Wheel, brings together a powerhouse of female comedic talents: former Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell who previously worked with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in 30 Rock, and screenwriter Janine Brito, who is also set to write the movie. Brito landed her first major screenplay after acting in Wine Country alongside Paula Pell.
