Warner Bros.

The Golden Globes recognize the top television and film productions. Additionally, they separate categories between different cinema genres, acknowledging the greatest dramas, comedies, and musicals.

Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is a frontrunner in the Best Drama category, facing off against Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, The Zone of Interest, and Past Lives. Additionally, Barbie, starring Margot Robbie, is on the run for Best Comedy or Musical alongside Air, American Fiction, Poor Things, May December, and The Holdovers

Barbie is the most-nominated film at the Golden Globes, with nine nominations. Barbie was followed by Christopher Nolan’s historical drama Oppenheimer which scored eight nominations.

Furthermore, Netflix dominated, as the media company with the most nominations for shows like Maestro, The Crown, and The Diplomat. Warner Bros. Discovery was the second media company with the most nominations for Barbie, Succession, and Barry.

In addition, this year’s Golden Globes have some exciting changes. Each category now has six nominees instead of five. In addition, for the first time, the Globes are celebrating box office success with a new award, even adding another category for stand-up specials.
