The four guests appeared on the couch of The Tonight Show with host Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, discussing their latest and upcoming projects, along with an exciting performance from Kings of Leon to end the program.

The episode starts with Jimmy Fallon doing his usual monologue and comedy bits. Following that Fallon plays one of his games called, Search Party, which is a Tonight Show version of Family Feud. This is the first time the night’s guests are introduced. The game featured all of them together which was fun for fans to watch as they competed to answer unhinged questions to win.

The band Kings of Leon, with members Matthew, Nathan, Jared, and Caleb were on one team, going against the other side of contestants including Jimmy Fallon, Austin Butler, Mark Ronson, Chance the Rapper, and Questlove, a drummer for Fallon’s in-house band, The Roots. Kings of Leon were the team to beat, taking home the title of the episode’s Search Party champions.

Austin Butler, best known for his iconic acting role in the recent Elvis film, joins Fallon on stage first for his interview. He talked about his upcoming role in Dune: Part Two, where he will portray a cunning character named Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, with the film set to release in theaters this Friday. He discussed attending the Dune premiere and what it was like to meet musician Sting at the premiere. Moreover, he also shared a funny throwback to meeting costar Zendaya for the first time back in their Disney Channel days in a Teen Vogue interview.

The interview ended with the official trailer for Dune. Butler appeared unrecognizable in his role, as his character fights Timothée Chalamet’s character.

Following Bulter, Mark Ronson joined Fallon for his interview. Ronson has collaborated with various artists, such as Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, and Amy Winehouse, and has won eight Grammy Awards for his outstanding work. Some of his popular songs include “Shallow” from the film A Star is Born and “Valerie.” During the interview, Ronson shared about sending a video concept to some of his friends, including Paul McCartney, who replied with a video back, shocking Ronson. Fallon also congratulated him for winning a Grammy a few weeks ago for scoring the Barbie soundtrack.

Ronson wrote the songs “Dance The Night” for Dua Lipa and “I’m Just Ken” for Ryan Gosling. He talked about the thought process behind writing “I’m Just Ken.” He explained that he considered the pain behind Ken’s character and came up with the famous line, “I’m just Ken; anywhere else I’d be a ten,” while taking a walk one day. This line became iconic and one of the most popular songs of the year and probably for the next decade.

Kings of Leon ended the night by taking to The Tonight Show stage to perform a new single from their upcoming album Can We Please Have Fun. This was the band’s first live performance of their single “Mustang,” giving fans a sneak peek of what to expect from their new album set to be released on May 10. Known for being an alternative rock band, Kings of Leon was formed in 1999 by brothers Caleb, Nathan, Jared, and their cousin Matthew, who all share a love for music. It’s always nice to see their music still doing so well and getting to see what they come up with next.

You can catch up on the excitement by watching Monday night’s episode, which is available to stream on Peacock. You can also watch the Kings of Leon perform “Mustang” below.
