Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth Electrify in New Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Trailer
The prequel film to the Mad Max saga by George Miller gets a new trailer. Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth display new colors to their characters.

Anya Taylor-Joy portrays the main character, Imperator Furiosa, formerly depicted by South African Academy Award winner Charlize Theron. In the prequel, the fans will learn Furiosa’s backstory and what brought her to where she is.
Her character is a pivotal part of the saga, and she brings many feminist ideas to the universe. In the newest trailer, we see her character lose her arm and shave her hair, which are prominent characteristics of Furiosa.

In addition, Taylor-Joy is not estranged from filming in the desert. Her most recent project, Denis Villanueve’s Dune: Part Two, is also centered in a desert-based world. Her participation in the film was kept as a surprise until a couple of days before the film’s release as Villanueve’s “gift for the fans,” as he told The Hollywood Reporter.
On the other hand, Chris Hemsworth portrays the villain, contrasting his most known role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His character, Dr. Dementus, kidnaps Furiosa as a child, and she needs to learn how to survive in this new world. Hemsworth’s funny and gentlemanly side from Thor is far gone in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

George Miller, the Australian director and co-creator of the Mad Max franchise, is also the director of Happy Feet, which is a strong juxtaposition of genres. Miller started the franchise in 1979 and has another upcoming project for the saga, a sequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, but there’s still not that much information on the film.
Additionally, the production was delayed due to COVID-19 and only started in June of 2022. Later in the same year, Taylor-Joy posted on her Instagram announcing the conclusion of filming in October. Also, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga was filmed mostly in New South Wales, Australia.
