Anna Camp and Griffin Matthews are the new additions to the cast of Netflix Series You. They will join for the fifth and final season of the series, which is anticipating release in late 2024.

The series follows Joe Goldberg, portrayed by Penn Bagley. Joe is quickly taken by beautiful women, to the point his attraction becomes a deadly obsession. Viewers hear his inner monologue as he stalks his love interests throughout their day, hiding behind his rimmed hat until he makes his move. The thriller is an adaptation of the book You by Caroline Kepnes.

Anna Camp will portray identical twin sisters Maddie and Reagan Lockwood, sisters-in-law to Joe. Griffin Matthews is cast as Teddy Lockwood, Joe’s brother-in-law. Teddy is described as a snarky yet loyal confidante who never felt accepted by the Lockwood family. Maddie is the master manipulator masquerading as the high-spirited twin, and Regan is the cunning CFO of Lockwood Corp. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Madeline Brewer also joined the cast as Bronte, a playwriter and employee at Joe’s new bookstore.

Joe has taken viewers around the world throughout the seasons. He starts in New York, then travels to Los Angeles and Paris until he settles in London for the fourth season. There, he coins the name Jonathan “John” Moore. He is a literature professor at a local university. He has a new girlfriend and a new friend group. However, when a wave of murders occurs, making his new friends victims, Joe becomes determined to solve the case.

The killer was revealed to be Rhys Montrose (Ed Speleers), Joe’s closest friend in the social group. Joe sets out to catch him, setting traps for Rhys, but he doesn’t fall for them. Joe decides to kidnap him, but in doing so, discovers that he suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder and Rhys is his split personality. He accepts Rhys as himself and kills one of his students unempathetically. The season ends with him marrying his girlfriend, Kate, then returning to New York. Season five starts with them back in the city and Joe owning a bookstore.

While waiting for the release of the series finale, all the previous seasons are available to watch on Netflix.
