DJ, producer, and singer Calvin Harris is releasing new music just in time for summer with the help of pop star Miley Cyrus, who is rumored to make waves soon.

When it comes to releasing new music, fans are always keeping a watchful eye on Calvin Harris. He is known for his many iconic hits, such as “We Found Love” with Rihanna and “Feel So Close,” which had fans in a chokehold when it was featured in The Vampire Diaries (you know exactly what scene we are talking about). The DJ has never made a bad track in his long-running career.

Harris is also dubbed as the king of pop and dance hits, with notable collaborations such as The Weeknd, SZA, Katy Perry, Frank Ocean, Pharrell Williams, and his latest feature with none other than Miley Cyrus

Cyrus has already had quite an impressive year, from winning her first Grammy to being featured on Beyoncé’s record-breaking Cowboy Carter; the surprises just keep coming.

First, the Instagram reel posted by Harris above includes the camera filming a scenic location: the beach. With the waves crashing in the background, Cyrus’ voice comes to life in the foreground, singing lyrics about love and its connection to the ocean. “The fact that I still love you in the morning,” Cyrus can be heard singing as the waves crash silently.

Next, fans were ecstatic when they heard the pop star’s angelic voice harmonizing throughout the video. Some fans were initially shocked, commenting, “Is that Miley?!” while others noticed her voice from the start, commenting, “Miley’s voice is so unique.” As for fan reactions to Harris, fans were quick to praise the DJ and producer by commenting, “You know summer is starting when Calvin drops new music.”

The fans do not lie. Harris is the king of summer hits, even having a song titled “Summer” that has been streamed over one billion times. Avid music listeners look forward to his groovy, entrancing dance hits every year, signaling it is time to go outside, have fun, and, most importantly, dance the night away.

Harris has dropped yet another teaser for the new song, with the camera submerged amongst the waves in the ocean. Cyrus can be heard singing once again; this time, her voice is altered to sound like she is in the water with the camera as well. With the genius camera and editing work, Harris is coming back to his throne as the king of summer hits.

Now, the first teaser featured more of a soft, angelic vibe to the song, like unwinding after a long day on the beach. The new teaser features Harris’ production with beats that do not overpower Cyrus’ voice, but adds volume creating the perfect dance tune to blast while in the car or on a fun night out with your gal pals. A hot summer night coupled with bright dresses and good vibes, this musical collaboration is the cherry on top.

Fans are also outpouring with excitement on the new teaser, commenting “Oh I’m gonna be so annoying with this one once it’s out” followed with “Calvin the summer banger king.” Other fans alike are also asking when the song will be released, commenting it will be their official summer anthem.

We are equally excited about this latest collaboration between Cyrus and Harris, a duo we were unaware of making music together. Listening to only part of the song so far, it is evident that the song will be a “banger” and our “summer anthem,” too.

Harris nor Cyrus has confirmed a release date for the majestic summer bop, but for now, you can listen to Harris’ discography here and Cyrus’ latest feature on Beyoncé’s album here.
