Rumors swirled if the duo would ever collaborate after avoiding each other at the Grammy’s. However, Miley Cyrus just featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter.

The “Doctor (Work It Out)” singer is having an impressive start to this year so far. With a Grammy win under her belt and even more praise for her hit song “Flowers” over a year later, a musical collaboration with Beyoncé was bound to happen for Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus’ recent photo shoot featuring a cowboy hat gifted to her by Pharrell Williams raised suspicion of her involvement with Beyoncé‘s newest musical era of country music, but she was able to sneak right under fan’s noses.

Cowboy Carter was released on March 29. However, before the release, Beyoncé only revealed the tracklist, with song titles including “DAUGHTER,” “JOLENE,” and “LEVII’S JEANS,” and no featured artists were mentioned.

Turns out, fans in Australia and New Zealand gained early access to both the tracklist and the artists that were set to feature. The sixteenth track, titled “II Most Wanted,” listed Cyrus as the featured artist.

This marks the first time that both Grammy winners have crossed paths and released a song together. While Cyrus has ventured into her country roots previously, this is the first time Beyoncé has ventured into the country genre.

“This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer stated.

While the two singers have not collaborated until now, they have performed together before. The artists sang together back in 2008 with eleven other female vocalists including Mariah Carey for a Stand Up to Cancer charitable concert to sing an original song.

“What I remember most from doing this performance is I was standing in between two of the big legends and icons that I was looking up to at the time, and they treated me like a little sister the entire time,” Cyrus stated of her first encounter.
