When the door to one era closes, a new one opens. The pop icon’s Chromatica era started in 2020 with the release of her album and ended this year with the premiere of Gaga Chromatica Ball on Max.

The “Rain on Me” singer embarked on her Chromatica World Tour in 2022 after several postponements related to the Covid-19 pandemic. The artist’s sold-out concert depicted in the film occurred at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA. Over 50,000 fans watched this event live and in person.

In recent months, the “Born This Way” singer busied herself with developing new products for her cosmetic brand Haus Labs and acting as Harley Quinn in the upcoming Joker: Folie à Deux film. The artist’s diverging career distracted some fans from the possibility of an album announcement. On the other hand, a user on X pointed out how the idea of new music in the same period as the Joker hype is “brilliant” from a marketing perspective.

However, the artist’s new music will be released sooner than the “Little Monsters” expected. The final seconds of the film pictured the end of the artist’s concert. As the “Shallow” singer exited the stage, a snippet of an unreleased song played as the singer performed Michael Jackson-esque dance moves. The screen flashed in a strobe light fashion with text stating, “LG7” and “Gaga Returns.”

The excited cheers of “Little Monsters” watching the film’s premiere in real-time were heard worldwide. At a viewing party in New York, a fan in the crowd captured the group’s reaction to the LG7 teaser. Another outbreak of excitement reverberated through a viewing party crowd in Paris, France. The teaser left some viewers stunned and speechless from the shock of an unlikely announcement occurring before their eyes.

Now, fans can only anticipate the official album announcement. The singer acknowledged the teaser, however, the artist remains silent on the album’s name or release date. A fan joked on Twitter about “pretending not to care about LG7 so Gaga announces it.” Another fan jokingly commented on the singer dropping “the biggest teaser yet” and then going radio silent. No one knows exactly what the legendary artist has in store, but “Little Monsters” knows it is a work monumental to the artist’s career.

You can watch the Gaga Chromatica Ball film on HBO Max. You can also listen to Lady Gaga’s discography on all streaming platforms.
